I've known about Star Trek for as long as I'd heard about Star Wars, that is to say, forever.
While I'd partaken in some media that was adjacent to Star Trek, I'd never watched an episode.
That changed however. As of February 6th of 2026, I've began a three year Trek of my own. I've decided to watch the entire series, movies and all. Logically, this makes no sense, therefore being illogical, which is my specialty. I've calculated that watching every piece of media from the Star Trek franchise at the current rate of 2 episodes a day will take around two-three years.
My family have been avid Trekkies since the 80's, knowing entire episodes by memory just by title card. This certainly provides some enjoyable moments to them, when a twist happens and I've been left in the dark.
