Chapter Nine: Narcissus

For the first time since they had emerged from the waters, two of the lords had begun to spar, Korinthine sending a maelstrom of fire unto Iron and the Blooming Messiah behind him. Iron shielded the entire castle, taking the brunt of the attack himself. Staggering backwards toward a cliff, he tried to fire lances of iron upon Korinthine. Her and her followers however, didn't let up. Iron had begun his plummet to the ground, all the while watching Korinthine start burning his walls down around the castle. He begins to think of what to do, now rapidly falling over one thousand feet. He knew his metal would be too heavy for a parachute, at this time, he collided with the floor. His people flocked to tend to him, leading to Korinthine having free reign over the castle. She burned a hole directly through the center of the metal wall, leading to the Blooming Messiah to make his presence known. He began to speak to Korinthine: "WHY MUST YOU DESACRATE THESE SACRED HALLS?". Korinthine paid no regard to this creatures claims, instantly spitting flames in his direction. The Blooming One summoned Master Aureate to his side to fight the lord of fire. Fire melted a great portion of snow from on top of the mountain, even charring some of the castle walls. Regrettably, Korinthine did not bring her compatriots. Master Aureate and the Blooming One managed to trip her up. However, knowing the plight of death, the Blooming One did not attack her. Instead, it planted a curse inside her arm, slowly growing eyes upon her flesh. She awoke in a nearby forest, desperate to find a cure for this infection.
