Behind the veil of the Underdark and those that live there, be that of their own accord or not, a small time figure that gained reverence with the creatures began to construct a device to escape reality. The creatures of the Underdark, not including the savage goblins, were living in fear of a certain Shadowed One. While they, too, were of otherworldly size and strength, they truly wanted a more peaceful realm. This device to escape them to somewhere more lawless, somewhere they could cultivate their own universe; one of bliss and sheer law. This figure was named Wes, a mechanic from a long line of mechanics, studying the effects of meta-transportation. While the world was running out of time, he spent every waking on his manic, obsessive idea to prove the divine. When the Blooming Messiah first cured the world, Wes was astounded at the sudden hyper-growth of the tree, piercing a small hole in the bottom, taking what was inside. What he found was nothing short of ordinary, much to his dismay. Bland, boring sap. This sap, however, reviled the creatures of the Underdark, spiking into shapes upon coming into contact with them. This interested Wes a high degree. As he used the sap more and more, his surprise was paramount upon witnessing the Bishop exiting the tree. He used the sap in a way he had not thought before, taking it to The Waters. As he prepared for this journey, he took a step back to look at his life. Realizing he was now nearing seventy, still chasing the same dream he had been from his teen years. He doubted himself a fair bit, thinking how foolish it must seem to others...
